As a therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) with a specialization in Multicultural Counseling, I have a passion for working with adults, children, and adolescents in individual therapy - and also individuals, couples, and families struggling with substance use issues and the effects of intergenerational and racial trauma.

I am a graduate of Antioch University in Seattle. There, I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from its Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)-accredited program. The CACREP is the highest level of education accreditation within the profession. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services at the University of Phoenix and attained a Certificate of Achievement in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Bellevue College. I am a certified Substance Use Disorders Professional (SUDP) in Washington State (#SUDP60145037).

I hold a Multicultural Counseling specialization from Antioch University. This specialization is designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills related to multicultural experiences in clinical work, and to equip counselors with an advanced understanding of dynamics and strategies when working with clients from multicultural backgrounds and in promoting clinical change and social advocacy within diverse communities. I have completed the Level I Lifespan Integration training and use this method often when working with trauma.

My specialties include: disordered substance use, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), intergenerational and racial trauma, depression, anxiety, finding meaning in life, and helping clients develop effective coping skills for the struggles that bring them to treatment. I also have a special focus on helping couples and families come together and find solutions when a family member is struggling with substance use or abuse.

If you have questions about the information in these pages or would like to talk with me about working together, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to explore your needs and assess whether I may be a good fit.
