I hold a Multicultural Counseling specialization from Antioch University. This specialization is designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills related to multicultural experiences in clinical work, and to equip counselors with an advanced understanding of dynamics and strategies when working with clients from multicultural backgrounds and in promoting clinical change and social advocacy within diverse communities. I have completed the Level I Lifespan Integration training and use this method often when working with trauma.
My specialties include: disordered substance use, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), intergenerational and racial trauma, depression, anxiety, finding meaning in life, and helping clients develop effective coping skills for the struggles that bring them to treatment. I also have a special focus on helping couples and families come together and find solutions when a family member is struggling with substance use or abuse.
